Teer, Dreams and Money

Many years ago, on a lazy weekend night, I watched a bollywood movie, and what made me laugh the hardest was a part of the plot where a funny character (let’s name him “A”) would share his dreams every day in the morning with his friends. The lazy buddies would go in the evening and buy a number, deducting lucky numbers from the description of the dream “A” had last night. Sometimes they won and celebrated “A” as a gifted person. This situation put them in dire trouble later, but today I want to recall that memory with you.

A couple of months ago, while i was browsing through shillongteerupdate.com, I found an interesting article about dream numbers and how dream numbers are actually taken seriously and used to buy numbers in Shillong teer game in India. Before that, I had always thought that idea of winning by dream number was just a comic situation in that movie. To satisfy my curiosity, I further dug into the topic.

Dream numbers are based on the idea that your dreams could reveal a lucky number for the next Teer round. For example, dreaming about a snake might suggest the number 8, or dreaming of water could point to the number 5. There’s a whole list that connects different dream symbols to specific numbers! People believe these dreams are messages or signs from a higher power. It seemed quite mysterious to me at first.

What’s even more fascinating is how seriously players (not all but many of them) take it. They wake up, try to recall their dreams, and then immediately check the dream number chart to see if they’ve received a lucky number. Some even keep a notebook to jot down their dreams, so they don’t forget them.

I’m not sure if this actually works, but it’s exciting to think about. It feels almost as if the universe is playing a game with you, offering clues in your sleep. Even if you don’t win, the idea of it all is fun and intriguing.

As someone new to the whole concept, the idea of Dream Numbers makes Teer feel like more than just a game. It’s a blend of luck, intuition, and a little bit of magic. It again reminds of a bollywood movie with little magic in it, but today we are not talking about that magic!

What I really want to discuss is that dreams have always held a mysterious value for man since the stone age. They associated signals and meanings with different things, sounds and colours in their surroundings. This association gave similar meanings to their dreams too and they took them as signals from their gods or heavenly creatures.

This practice was not specific in any certain region or religion, rather it is evident in history of different countries and religions. We can find examples in different times and places where dreams have been documented as having spiritual signals, predicting future, or warning of any upcoming dangers.

Interestingly, the same dreams carry different meanings in different regions and cultures. This means, if I dream of a horse in Canada and my friend in India also dreams the same horse, we both will think of different hidden meaning of this dream, right? Weird but interesting in its own way.

I had a detailed look at the list of dream meanings and tried to figure out if I could use this trick to find my lucky numbers for the day. Weird, but I am trying to research if the dream numbers can make me get better sales deals at my favourite store or make me lucky enough to reach in time before the last bus leaves for my house!

See you next time with some other interesting stuff, till then!
